North and South Korea tested ballistic missiles hours apart Wednesday rising tensions in the North Peninsula, when the talks between the two have been junked. South Korea’s presidential office said the country conducted its first submarine-launched ballistic missile test. It said the domestically built missile flew from a submarine and hit its designated target while President Moon Jae-in and other top officials looked on.Days after testing a missile for the first time in six months in a bid to expand the military in the country, North Korea on Wednesday fired two unidentified projectile off its east coast, South Korea’s military said.The experts condemn the North Korea’s act of firing missiles, as they called it the country’s tactic to get the relief from the sanctions imposed by the US, aimed to force the country to abandon its nuclear arsenal.Imposing Threat to JapanJapanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said the launches “threaten the peace and safety of Japan and the region and are absolutely outrageous.” The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command said the move “highlights the destabilising impact of (North Korea’s) illicit weapons program” though it said it didn’t pose an immediate threat to the U.S.
