A boy in Karnataka's Mulbagal town was arrested after he confessed to killing his mother.

The incident happened on Friday, when the minor, a student, was getting ready for classes.

According to the boy's statement to the police, he asked his mother to serve him breakfast, to which she refused and told him 'he was not her son'.

Enraged, the boy hit his mother on her head with an iron rod, leading to her death.

Police said the boy walked to the police station and requested a senior staff member to speak to him. He then told the cops he had killed his mother.
