JJ News Desk

A photoshoot of a teacher and her Class 10 student from a government high school in Murugamalla, Karnataka, has sparked outrage on social media. The images, which depict the teacher and student hugging and kissing each other, were captured during an educational study tour.

The photographs were shared on X by Amit Singh Rajawat, who questioned the direction society is heading in, light of such incidents. The identity of the teacher or the student was not disclosed in the post.

“Pictures and videos from a romantic photoshoot of a government school teacher with a Class 10 student in Karnataka's Murugamalla Chikkaballapur district, went viral, following which the student's parents filed complaint with the Block Education Officer (BEO). The parents have demanded a thorough investigation into the teacher's behaviour,” reads the caption.

Some social media users have called for action against the teacher, while others argue that both parties should face consequences if any action is to be taken.

According to the post, the student's parents lodged a formal complaint with the Block Education Officer (BEO), seeking a comprehensive investigation into the teacher's conduct. BEO V Umadevi visited the school to conduct preliminary enquiries but has refrained from commenting until a full investigation is completed, reports Deccan Herald.

This incident has not only raised questions about the appropriateness of the relationship between the teacher and the student but also highlighted the need for clear ethical guidelines and professional conduct.
