IndiGo website down, Digi Yatra and self-baggage drop unavailable too

IndiGo announced that in addition to their website being in 'flight mode', the self-baggage drop facility and Digi Yatra will also be unavailable.

2024 has not brought great news for IndiGo, India's low-cost carrier. From SlapGate to flight delays, it has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons, and now you cannot book tickets on their website, as "they are updating their systems".

What is happening?

However, as of now (even at 12.40 pm, January 17), you cannot book any tickets on their website.

According to IndiGo's website, they are ensuring that it does not "interrupt any flight operations at all their airports".

However, self-baggage drop and Digi Yatra will be unavailable, and no fresh bookings/modifications/web check-in can be done on IndiGo's website or even their mobile app.

Contact centres will also be impacted.

"Passengers travelling during this period are requested to download/print the boarding pass emailed to them. We will be back soon. Stay tuned", says IndiGo's website.

Odd timing

Apart from the delays, a lot of videos have emerged online that show passengers engaging in a verbal (and even physical) altercation with the staff about flight delays and lack of information.
