IAS officer, and Barmer's District Collector Tina Dabi led a raid on a local spa centre, which was suspected to be a front for an alleged sex racket, on Wednesday, resulting in the arrest of seven people, including five women. The raid was conducted as part of a city-wide drive led by Dabi.

During the inspection of the Chamunda Circle area, Tina Dabi noticed the spa centre and instructed officials to probe the premises. When the spa staff refused to open the door, the district collector grew suspicious, stating that she would not leave until the gate was opened.

With no response, Dabi ordered the team to break the glass door. Once inside, the officials, including the police, found five women and two men engaged in unethical activities. They were promptly taken into custody.

The raid was captured on camera and videos showed several women, trying to cover their faces, and men inside the alleged spa facility.

Barmer Sadar Police Station Officer Satya Prakash confirmed the arrests, stating that all seven people were arrested on charges of disturbing public peace. The preliminary investigation suggested that one of the women arrested may be the owner of the spa. The police are further investigating the case.

This raid comes as part of the ongoing "Navo Barmer" campaign, spearheaded by Tina Dabi to improve cleanliness and accountability across the district.
