Huge blast at Indian Oil Corporation's refinery in Vadodara, no casualties so far

The massive blast took place in a storage tank at the Indian Oil Corporation Limited refinery in Vadodara. Plumes of black smoke emanated from the refinery and were visible for several kilometres away from the spot.

A massive explosion occurred at an Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) refinery in Gujarat's Vadodara on Monday and no casualties have been reported so far.

The blast took place in a storage tank on the Koyali refinery premises. Plumes of black smoke emanated from the refinery and were visible for several kilometres away from the spot.

Firefighters were called to the scene and tried to douse the fire that erupted following the explosion. Currently, 10 fire engines are present at the spot.

The IOCL refinery in Koyali is owned by the central government.
