A shopkeeper was thrashed by angry locals in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad for allegedly serving fruit juices mixed with urine to customers. The police later arrested Aamir Khan, owner of Khushi Juice Corner, and detained his minor assistant.

The matter came to light after some people noticed the shopkeeper mixing a yellowish liquid with fruit juice. Soon, a huge crowd gathered and they started beating the shop owner.

After the police were alerted, they conducted a search in the juice stall and recovered a plastic can filled with urine.

Senior police officer Bhaskar Verma said the police were trying to find out the motive behind the act. Verma said the arrest was made after the shopkeeper could not give any satisfactory answer to the presence of urine in the shop.

"After the information was received on September 13, the police promptly arrived at the scene and found approximately 1 litre of suspected urine from a can at the shop. The police have arrested Aamir Khan. An FIR has been registered, and further legal action is underway," Verma said.

The contents of the can have been sent for analysis.

Earlier this year, a Telangana kulfi and ice-cream vendor was arrested for allegedly masturbating and mixing semen in a container containing falooda. The vendor was caught red-handed by locals and handed over to the police.
