Former house help's son claims HD Revanna kidnapped, sexually harassed his mother

JJ News Desk

A kidnapping case has been filed against former Karnataka minister HD Revanna after a 20-year-old man alleged that the JD(S) MLA's associate abducted his mother. The complainant, Raju HD, and his mother worked as a house help at Revanna's farmhouse.

The police have registered a case against Revanna and one Satish Babanna under several sections of the Indian Penal Code on charges related to kidnapping, among others. HD Revanna has sought anticipatory bail in the case.

Revanna and his son have also been booked for sexual harassment based on the complaint of another former maid in their house.

After three days, on April 29 at around 9 pm, Raju claimed that Satish came to their residence again and forcibly took away his mother, saying Revanna ordered her to be brought to him.

The same day, Raju said he called Satish to find out about the whereabouts of his mother. However, Sathish told him that a case had been registered against her, and she had to get bail. Sathish said an FIR was filed against the woman over an earlier fight involving Prajwal Revanna and a photo had emerged showing her with a stick.
