Ramuram Raika, a former official at Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) was arrested on Sunday for allegedly leaking the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment question paper to his children. Raika's daughter Shobha and son Devesh bagged the 5th and 40th ranks in the recruitment exam, respectively.

The alleged scam was exposed only after the Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) conducted the dummy interviews.

Raika's arrest came days after his children, apart from three other trainees, were arrested for their alleged involvement in the paper leak case.

On Sunday, all five trainee accused were presented before the court, from where they were sent to police custody till September 7. They were taken into custody from the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA) and brought to the SOG office for questioning on Saturday.

Raika is slated to be presented before the court on Monday to seek police remand.

To date, the SOG has arrested a total of 63 individuals in connection with the sub-inspector recruitment paper leak case, including 37 selected candidates. Of these, 33 were undergoing training at the training centre after joining as station house officers. Three others were selected but did not join. Despite their efforts to evade the SOG's grasp, the group remains several steps ahead.
