A man killed his mother over suspicion that she was practicing black magic, preventing him from moving to Canada. According to the police, the incident came to light on Wednesday evening (November 6) when Apollo Hospital alerted them that a woman with multiple stab wounds had been brought in dead.

Upon receiving the call, a police team first reached the hospital and then proceeded to the crime scene. During the investigation, it was revealed that after killing his mother, the accused, identified as 31-year-old Krishan Kant, called his father, Surjeet, asking him to come home.

Surjeet, who runs a property dealing business nearby, rushed back to find his son waiting. Krishan reportedly apologized to his father and then led him to the first floor of their home, locking him inside before fleeing.

When Surjeet reached the first floor, he discovered his wife, Geeta, lying in a pool of blood. Seeking help from the neighbours, he rushed her to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

Based on Surjeet’s complaint, the police registered a murder case and arrested Krishan Kant. During interrogation, the accused revealed shocking details. Krishan, who was unemployed and had a history of substance abuse, was desperate to move to Canada and settle there. However, his mother, Geeta, insisted on getting him married first, hoping it would stabilise his life.

Krishan, however, believed that his mother was practising black magic to prevent him from going abroad. Convinced that she was the reason behind his failure to move to Canada, he attacked her with a knife on November 6, killing her.

The police suspect that an argument between Krishan and his mother over marriage escalated, leading to the murder. It was also discovered that Krishan had purchased the knife a few days before the incident.

The family, residing in Jaitpur, includes Surjeet, his wife Geeta, their elder son Krishan Kant, and their younger son Sahil, who works in a bank.
