The head of a Chennai-based Information Technology (IT) firm has gifted a variety of brand-new cars to 50 of his employees to express his gratitude towards them.

Murali, the head of Ideas2IT Technology Services Private Limited, founded the firm along with his wife in 2009.

He said a few employees had stood by him through thick and thin since the inception of the venture, and he wished to pay them back for their support.

“My partner and I have been holding all the shares. We have now decided to convert the shares, providing 33 per cent of the shares to long-term employees. We also started the wealth sharing programme by which we decided to give 50 cars to our employees," Murali said.

He also said that the company had gifted 100 cars last year as a way of paying back employees for their hard work.
