Bengaluru CEO killed 4-year-old son, didn’t want ex-husband to meet him

JJ News Desk

A woman CEO of a Bengaluru start-up was arrested for killing her four-year-old son in a hotel in Goa. The woman, who is an IT professional, was arrested while travelling with her son's body in a bag to Karnataka.

The woman killed her son allegedly to prevent her ex-husband from meeting their son. The couple, married in 2010 and parents to the boy born in 2019, had a fallout in 2020, leading to a court case and eventual divorce. The court had granted the father permission to meet his child on Sundays.

Under pressure and driven by the desire to stop her ex-husband from seeing their son, the woman planned a trip to Goa with her son. She killed him in the hotel room, with the intention of preventing his father from meeting him.

The incident came to light when hotel staff grew suspicious after seeing the woman checked in with her son but left alone. Alerted by the hotel staff's concern, local police were called, and a taxi driver confirmed that the woman was indeed travelling solo.
