'Ayodhya Marg' poster put on Babar Road signage in Delhi, removed later

JJ News Desk

Hindu Sena activists on Saturday put on a poster saying, 'Ayodhya Marg' on the signage for Babar Road in Delhi. Photos and videos of the poster were widely shared on social media. The poster has now been removed by officials.

This incident comes just two days ahead of the Ram Mandir 'Pran Pratishtha' or consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

An official of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) said they will file a police complaint on the matter, as per news agency PTI.

The Hindu Sena has been demanding for Babar Road to be renamed for years now. In 2019, the group's workers blackened the signage of the road's sign board and pasted stickers that read "Hindu Sena".
