A four-year-old boy miraculously survived after a car ran over him in Madhya Pradesh's Betul, police said on Thursday. The minor, however, suffered minor injuries to his leg.

A video clip of the incident emerged, showing the child, Ayansh Yadav, riding a bicycle outside his home on Wednesday afternoon before the car ran over him.

The video shows that the car first reverses and then halts. A woman with two children is also seen talking to the child, after which she sits inside the car. A short while later, the car is seen running over Ayansh. However, the boy stands up before sitting down again and a woman helps him.

The mother of the boy alleged the man behind the steering wheel ran the car over her son intentionally.

"My son was riding a bicycle on the road and was unable to move forward due to some problem with the bicycle. The car driver had also seen the child and the woman in the car had first asked the child to move aside. Despite that, the car driver had run the car over my boy. That means the driver did it intentionally. I thank God that the child survived," Ayansh's mother Pushpalata Yadav said.

The child was immediately taken to the doctor after the incident and underwent a medical examination. He suffered minor injuries to his leg and some marks of the car's wheel were found on the minor's pants.

Betul Kotwali Town Inspector Devkaran Deharia said, "The matter was serious and hence, an FIR was immediately registered. We have identified the car based on the CCTV footage."
