4 dead as boat with students overturns in Srinagar's River Jhelum

A boat carrying several passengers, including 10 to 12 school students, overturned in Srinagar's River Jhelum on Tuesday.

At least four people died after a boat carrying several passengers, including 10 to 12 school students, overturned in Srinagar's River Jhelum on Tuesday.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir disaster management authority, a State Disaster Response Force team has been deployed for rescue operations which are currently underway.

Incessant rain over the last few days has led to an increase in the water levels of several water bodies in Kashmir, including Jhelum.
