3 electrocuted while putting up banner for Kannada actor Yash's birthday

Three people were electrocuted while they were erecting a banner of Kannada actor Yash for his 38th birthday on an electric pole in Karnataka's Gadag district.

The incident also left three others injured.

Meanwhile, Yash, whose birth name is Naveen Kumar Gowda, is celebrating his 38th birthday on Monday.

A popular actor in the Kannada film industry, he made his debut in 2007 with 'Jambada Hudugi'. He earned critical acclaim with performances in 'Rocky' (2008), 'Googly' (2013) and 'Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari' (2014).

His portrayal of Rocky Bhai in the blockbuster KGF series catapulted him to national fame, with 'K.G.F: Chapter 1' becoming the highest-grossing Kannada film at the time and its sequel further cementing his status as a pan-Indian star.
