1 dead, 4 injured as speeding car crashes into vehicle in Delhi

A speeding car rammed into another car near Delhi’s Geeta Colony Flyover on Monday night, killing a man and injuring four others.

According to the police, the accident occurred on Salim Garh Road near Geeta Colony Flyover late on Monday.

They said the initial inquiry revealed that a speeding car hit another car on the opposite carriageway, damaging the middle road divider, and leaving a 40-year-old man dead on the spot.

The deceased was identified as Gaurav Malhotra, a resident of Lakshmi Nagar in the national capital.

Police said the cars were found in a severely damaged condition at the scene.

The four injured people were moved to a nearby hospital and doctors said one of them was in serious condition at the trauma centre.

Police also said they had initiated legal action against the driver of the speeding car.
