The video, recorded at a temple in Belwa village shows the couple exchanging garlands and performing traditional Hindu rituals.

The aunt tied a mangalsutra around her niece's neck, and they took seven steps around the sacred fire, signifying their commitment to each other.

Following the ceremony, the couple announced their marriage on social media, stating that their decision was mutual and that they intend to remain together for life. However, some self-appointed guardians of societal norms have condemned the marriage, labelling it illegitimate and against tradition.
