Customer Fury Over Water Leaks and Ignored Complaints: Kia, Tata, Hyundai, and Mahindra Accused of Selling Defective Cars!

New car owners of several prominent companies are continuously complaining about the issue of water leakage through the sunroof and other parts of the car.

The companies which were trusted by majority of the population in India, have betrayed many new customers by providing them with fake promises and damaged cars, as companies like “Kia, Tata, Hyundai & Mahindra” are facing backlash from their users about the water leakage issue, and even after several reminders and complaints the customer care service is not providing the right solutions to the users.

A Kia Seltos user from Patna, Mr. Kushagra Singh reported an issue with his recently bought car. Talking to Jaano Junction he shared his experience, that in the first few weeks he suffered headache while driving the car continuously, after which he got to know that the manufactures of Kia car have used power in the windshield, which was causing headaches and eye strain for the user. “After posting on the social media and complaining about the problem, we got to know that many users faced the same issue with the Kia Seltos, and that was a huge mistake from the manufactures side, as it could be dangerous for the drivers if they won’t be able to get a clear picture from the front“. Mr. Singh explained that after several attempts of complaints the manufacturers changed the windshield glass and provided the users with compensation, so that they did not file a case against the company.

“As it was the first monsoon season for the car, we started facing the problem of water leakage in the car near the sunroof, making it difficult to use. Even after registering complaints and messages the Kia outlet is unable to justify that from where the water leakage problem is occurring,” Mr. Singh added. He said that after investing a larger amount of money, then also if the users are getting this kind of service from the company then it would be very difficult to trust them. Mr. Singh also demanded that there should be an exchange policy for the customers, who are facing such issues. He also mentioned that even now some parts of the windshield has power in the glasses, apparently making it difficult to use the car, and Kia not taking the complaints seriously.

It's not just about a single user, the problem is being faced by majority Indian users as they are constantly reporting the issue of the power in the windshield of  Kia Seltos car, resulting in users canceling the bookings for the car.

The users are constantly reporting issue of water dripping in the cars, especially in the monsoon season, through their social media handles, and raising concerns over the problem. Even after several complaints and efforts from the buyers, the companies are not providing services to the users. Surprisingly, such problems are being faced in the the new cars which have been bought within a week.

A Mahindra user posted on X, where he complained about the water leakage issue in the car, sharing his experience. He explained that he waited 11 months, paid thrice the price, then also, in return he got a car with water dripping issue. Other Mahindra users, also registered dissatisfaction regarding the water dripping issue in the car, which is still unresolved.

Another buyer posted on X, complaining that within 15 days of delivery of his brand new TATA Motors car, he faced a problem of water leakage near the pedals, which he clearly did not expect from the company. Unfortunately, this has become a sad reality for all the well for known car companies that several users are facing problem of water dripping insides of their cars. In several instance, even on the first day of delivery of the car, users have reported this issue and the companies are not responding enough or fixing the problem.

Even after several complaints from consumers, there has been no solution from the companies' end, making it difficult for users to trust and buy cars from these companies. Company officials need to address this issue and provide better service to their buyers. For consumers, it is very inconvenient to have their cars serviced every fifteen days, so the companies should offer the best service and prevent such problems from recurring. However, the companies do not seem serious about this issue, as they have not issued any statements to correct themselves.

Well-known car brands are not performing proper pre-delivery inspections before delivering cars. If they conducted thorough pre-delivery inspections, they would identify these problems themselves, rather than leaving them to be discovered by customers. This indicates that car companies are taking both the problems and pre-delivery inspections casually.

Pre-delivery inspections should include examining the car's interior, exterior, and technical and mechanical systems. If companies are unable to identify issues like water leakage during these inspections, it simply means they are not working properly on car development or providing adequate service to their consumers.

Brands such as Kia, Hyundai, Tata, and Mahindra need to take note and work properly to offer the best service to their customers. This is not just an issue faced by a few customers; the majority have experienced these problems for a long time. Company officials need to identify and resolve these issues for their customers. It is high time for these brands to address the problem, or consumers will take action.
