In order to close the fair, police force obtained from the district administration level has been deployed in the fair.

Angered by the non-issuance of license for sports, spectacle and theater even after a week of the inauguration of the world famous Harihar Kshetra Sonepur fair, villagers and shopkeepers of the fair have decided to close the fair indefinitely.

According to the decision taken in the meeting held at Chidiya Math in Sonepur on Friday, the fair will remain closed indefinitely from Saturday in protest against the attitude of the local administration.

Although the local administration issued the license of the theaters on Friday, the theater operators, angry with the system, refused to take the license given after so many days. Even after being informed, the operators of the theaters did not go to get the license. It has been told that during this period, private shopkeepers will also express their protest by keeping their shops located at the fair closed.

Administration has written black history by not giving license

This is the first time in the history of the fair that there was so much delay in granting the licenses for the swing, the well of death and the theaters that a large number of its visitors are returning every day.

As a result, there has been a huge decline in the crowd of the fair. During the meeting, it was unanimously decided that against this attitude of the administration, Hariharkshetra Sonepur fair will be kept closed indefinitely.

On the other hand, it was also alleged that the traffic rules were made so strict that the goods loaded on trucks of traders were stopped about two kilometers away from the fair.

Sonepur's SDO has a different claim

He told that earlier the license of the theater was issued only for two days, but this time the license has been issued for seven days simultaneously, but despite giving information, the theater operators did not receive this license till late evening of Friday.

The SDO said that the theater will have to be operated as per the rules and conditions. On the other hand, in the meeting held at Chiraiya Math, the organizers of the sports show said that the importance of earning was lost due to the indifferent attitude of the administration during these seven days. "Who will compensate for this loss?"

Organizer said Step-motherly behavior will not work

On one hand, from the date of inauguration in Rajgir, licenses for theater, Maut ka Kuan, Jhula etc. games and spectacles are given and a lot of arrangements are made at the government level for the convenience of the spectators in that fair

In comparison, all the government activities are conducted in the main pandal of the Tourism Department located at Nakhas of Harihar Kshetra Sonepur Fair and only the main pandal is considered as a fair.

In this meeting, former railway employee Raj Kishore Singh, Anil Kumar Singh of Harihar Kshetra Jan Jagran Manch, advocate Naval Kumar Singh, Sharmanand Singh, railway contractors Munna Singh, Sudhir Kumar Singh, Ganesh Singh, Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Ritesh, Gabbar Singh, Ranjan Singh were present. etc. were present.
