Patna (Bihar): On 14 April 2024, three young minds, Mayur, Arpita and Tia from The Soft Move set out on the streets of Patna and distributed 10000 paperbags.

With the motto 'moving people from action talking to action taking at the grassroots' in the hearts of volunteers at The Soft Move, established by Dwishojoyee Banerjee, the youth of the nation are seeking to create tangible impact in the environment by replacing the poisonous plastic bags with simple and humble newspaper bags.

Volunteers at The Soft Move are armed not with grandeur, but with purpose, they carry a payload of promise: newspaper bags, the emblem of their commitment to a greener tomorrow.

Ten thousand paperbags bags collected from endeavours of The Soft Move, like various awareness drives conducted in schools, colleges and others, were distributed to street vendors .

As the tally of replaced bags surged past a hundred thousand, The Soft Move's impact resonated far beyond the confines of the distribution drive, echoing the potential for meaningful change when communities unite in purpose.

Thus, it is rightly said, “be a part of the solution and not the pollution”.
