American singer, songwriter and actor Justin Timberlake has been arrested for drink-driving in New York, US, reported The Associated Press.
Timberlake will reportedly be brought to court later. NBC quoted a source which said that the singer was in police custody till Tuesday morning.
Timberlake is presently on his global tour titled "Forget Tomorrow," promoting his newest album "Everything I Thought It Was," which debuted in March.
Justin Timberlake is set to hold two concerts each at Chicago’s United Center and New York’s Madison Square Garden next week. The North American segment of the tour concludes on July 9 in Kentucky, followed by shows in Europe starting later this month.
A young Timberlake was a Disney Mouseketeer, where his castmates included future girlfriend Britney Spears. He rose to fame in the popular boy band NSYNC and embarked on a solo recording career in 2002. As an actor, Timberlake has appeared in films such as The Social Network and Friends With Benefits among more.
