Shah Rukh Khan: ‘Still have 35 years before I end my career’

Shah Rukh Khan spoke about his wish to make a film that will be loved by the whole world before he retires. He was speaking at the World Governments Summit, and also added that he has at least 35 years before he can retire from films.

Shah Rukh Khan was a part of the World Governments Summit 2024 in Dubai, where he spoke about his professional life and why he has not been a part of any international film. It was also during this session that the actor revealed what he truly wishes to do and even commented that he wants to end his career, but has a good 35 years before he does so.

The actor, while speaking at the summit, said, "I want to end my career, which is far from ending right now; I have a good 35 years to go. I really really want to make that film which is loved by the whole world and then nobody on a big stage like this asks me 'why haven't you crossed over'. That film should cross me over." Shah Rukh Khan also revealed what he had been doing when he took a break from the industry between 2018 to 2023. The actor said that he learnt to make pizzas and now makes the best pizzas in the world. He was also thankful that his entire family did not feel that he makes better pizzas than films and pushed him to return back to the screens. He also opened up about his wish to play James Bond, but admitted that he's too short for the character.

The actor had three releases in 2023 - 'Pathaan', 'Jawan' and 'Dunki'. All the three films were hits and 'Jawan' was the highest-grossing film of the year.
