Actor Song Jae Rim died at the age of 39 on Tuesday. The Seongdong Police Station in Seoul confirmed that the actor was found dead in his apartment in the Seongdong District. A two-page letter was reportedly discovered at the scene, as per a report in Korean news portal Soompi. While the exact cause of his death has not yet been confirmed, police officials have stated that there are currently no signs of foul play.
Born in 1985, Song Jae Rim made his acting debut in the 2009 film Actresses and gained widespread recognition for his role in the 2012 drama The Moon Embracing the Sun. He went on to appear in several notable television dramas, including Flower Boy Ramen Shop, Inspiring Generation, Two Weeks, Goodbye Mr. Black, Bad Girls, Our Gap-soon, Surfing House, Let Me Hear Your Song, and Queen Woo. His film credits include Grand Prix, The Suspect, Crazy Love, Yacha, Bait, and Plop: A Man Who Lost His Business.
In addition to his screen work, Song Jae Rim also showcased his talent on stage, most recently performing in the play The Rose of Versailles, which concluded on October 13. This was his final project before his untimely death.
