Reports have been doing the rounds that Pakistani actor Mahira Khan, who married businessman Salim Karim in October 2023, is set to embrace motherhood once again. It was being said that the couple are expecting their first child together. Now, the ‘Raees’ actor has addressed the rumours.

It all began when a post on Reddit went viral. It claimed that Mahira Khan is expecting her second child, the first with Salim Karim. It further added that she has backed out of her projects - Netflix’s ‘Jo Bachey Sang Samait Lo’ and another yet-to-be-titled film – for this reason. However, Mahira chose to clear the air. Refuting the rumours, she told Express Tribune, “It’s not true that I’m pregnant. And I haven’t left the Netflix series.”

The post on Reddit read, “So, I got this news from a close source that she opted out of the esteemed Netflix project alongside a big film as she’s expecting her second child somewhere in August or September. An announcement could be made soon or not if she chooses to announce it after birth but as she’s a big celeb and can’t keep it lowkey for long, I personally feel that she will announce.”

Mahira and Salim Karim had a grand wedding on October 1. She also shared pictures on Instagram, which soon went viral. The actor was earlier married to Ali Askari and has a son from the marriage. They parted ways in 2015.
