Actor and content creator Kusha Kapila is yet again the talk of the town because of her recent participation in Ashish Solanki’s Pretty Good Roast on Youtube, which features different stand-up comedians like Samay Raina, Aaditya Kulshreshth, Shreya Priyam Roy, and Gurleen Pannu who cracked jokes on her, where some jokes were related to her recent divorce with Zohrawar Singh Ahluwalia.

After the roast the audience expressed their disapproval for such jokes on Kusha, but some of the audience said she sat through all of it because she was getting paid. On which Kusha finally decided to speak up.

Firstly she clarified that she was not ‘paid’ to be a part of the episode saying, “It was done in good faith and for a friend. Nobody has been paid (neither comics nor guests) for it, so the argument that people are being paid big fat cheques to hear their insults is baseless”.

After that with her post she explained that she didn’t know the jokes and script before the show and her episode was the first to be shot so she and another comedian technically was learning and made some mistakes saying, “I had no idea what was in store for me. Maybe I should have asked for the script and known better but since friends were involved I didn't ‘Rookie Mistake’, and mine was the first episode to be shot so everyone had a fair bit of learning post shoot which is why in other episodes, boundaries haven’t been crossed especially with women."

Kusha said she would have been a coward and crybaby if I walked out of the live show and would have faced different kinds of trolling. “But was not okay to play for millions of people since some jokes straight dehumanised her and it was shockingly unkind” her post reads."

Lastly she described that everyone have boundaries and all those boundaries should be respected. And she will never sit for another roast at least without knowing what may come in the roast.
