Veteran actor Moushumi Chatterjee recently claimed she was a better person than Jaya Bachchan at a Mumbai event. This statement was made amidst her interaction with the paparazzi, who she expressed gratitude towards.

Moushumi Chatterjee was all smiles as she posed for paparazzi at a recent event in Mumbai. However, when asked to constantly 'look right, look left', she seemed to get irritated. However, her smile was intact.

She further added, "Actually, aap log nahi hote toh hum kahaan hote (Actually without you (paps) all we (actors) wouldn't exist)," and posed for solo shots.

Jaya Bachchan is known for her bittersweet relationship with the paparazzi. She is often seen lashing out at them. On several occasions, the 'Mili' actor was seen bashing paps, who tried to click pictures of her.

Meanwhile, last year, in an interview with Lehren, Moushumi Chatterjee revealed that she was replaced by Jaya Bachchan in Gulzar-directorial 'Koshish' (1972), after having shot for it for three days.

"I shot for three days, and I could see what manipulations were done in those three days. I could see Jaya Bachchan’s secretary; she was there from morning to night at the office. And all of a sudden Gulzar da, whom I had known since Geetanjali and who used to teach my mother-in-law Urdu, said, ‘You have got to shoot from tomorrow to little late in the night.’ I had just had a baby and I said, ‘I cannot, I have a child at home. I can only shoot in one shift.’ Then he said in front of everybody, ‘You know so many actresses are there in line to take that spot.’ I got triggered, and I said, ‘Then take them.’" said Moushumi recalling the incident.
