Ed Sheeran goes desi on Kapil Sharma's show: 'Bade bade shehron mein...'

English singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran will be seen in the upcoming episode of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'. The promo of the entertaining episode was shared on the official Instagram handle of Netflix on Wednesday, May 15. In the clip, Ed is portrayed going all desi on the show, tapping into his inner Indianness.

In the episode, Kapil says to Ed, "You are younger than me in age, but I am younger than you in English (sic)." The clip also features Ed Sheeran performing a desi version of 'Shape Of You'. However, the highlight of the teaser is where the singer recreates Shah Rukh Khan's signature open arms pose. Further, Kapil says, "I was watching your videos, you went to Shah Rukh Khan's house. You met him. Wow." The 'Photograph' singer replied with the iconic dialogue, 'Bade Bade shehron mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain'.

The caption for the promo read, "The perfect collab doesn't exis... Watch Ed Sheeran on #TheGreatIndianKapilShow this Saturday 8pm only on Netflix (sic)."

Earlier in the day, Krushna Abhishek shared some behind-the-scenes pictures with the cast and Ed Sheeran.

Alongside the pictures, Krushna wrote, "Our next episode with the one and only @teddysphotos. It was so nice meeting him and working with him. So humble and an artist with a golden heart. Love to him always. Watch this one this coming Saturday @netflix_in @thegreatindiankapilshow (sic)."

Ed Sheeran was in India for his Mathematics Tour. The singer arrived in India early and caught up with several celebs. He also partied at Mannat and the video of the ‘Shape Of You’ singer striking SRK’s iconic pose, with him, broke the internet.

The episode will stream on Netflix from May 18.
