JJ News Desk

A new video from Arijit Singh's recent UK concert, where the singer takes a stand for a fan after security grabs her by the neck, is circulating on the internet. Arijit's gesture has won over fans on social media, with some hailing him as a "decent human being."

In the video, a woman approaches the stage while Arijit is performing. As security tries to stop her, she tells them that the singer is calling her. The security guards still don't allow her to move forward and allegedly try to stop her by holding her by the neck. The commotion near the stage catches Arijit's attention.

He says from the stage, "It's not fair to grab somebody like that" (gesturing towards the neck). He then requests people, "Guys, please sit down." Arijit also apologizes to the woman who was manhandled by security, stating, "I am really sorry, ma'am. I wish I was there to protect you, but I could not. Please sit down."

Arijit's gesture earned him a loud cheer from the crowd as he continued performing at the concert. As the video spread widely online, the singer was praised for standing up for his fan. One comment on the video read, "Such a decent human being, first and foremost Arijit Singh (sic)." Another fan described him as "mesmerising, humble, respectful."

Earlier, another video from Arijit's UK tour emerged online, showing a fan placing food on the stage while he performed the title track of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. As soon as Arijit noticed the food, he picked it up and handed it to his security team.

The singer apologised to the fan, explaining that he could not allow food on his stage because, to him, the stage was a sacred space. "I am sorry, this is my temple. You cannot put food here," he stated.

Earlier, Arijit Singh was joined by British singer Ed Sheeran during his London show. Arijit also posted pictures of himself with Ed on social media and thanked him for attending.
