Anushka Sharma Pregnant, Expecting Second Child With Husband Virat Kohli: Report

JJ News Desk

There have been some speculations for a while now that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are expecting their second child together. These rumours first sparked when fans of the actress noticed that she had not made any public appearances in recent times and was also missing from Virat’s matches. Now, the latest reports claim that the rumours are in fact true.

The Hindustan Times reported that Anushka is pregnant with her second child with Virat and is likely in her second trimester. Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying, “Anushka is expecting her second baby. Like the last time, they will formally share the news with the world at a later stage.”

Addressing the actress’ lack of public appearances, the source claimed, “This isn’t a coincidence. She is staying away from the public eye to avoid speculation.” While the rumours had been sparked earlier, they went rife after Anushka’s Ganesh Chaturthi post.

The report mentioned another source as saying that the couple was recently spotted by the paparazzi outside a maternity clinic in Mumbai but requested that their photographs not be taken. “They requested the paparazzi to not publish their pictures, with a promise to make an announcement soon,” the source was quoted as saying.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot in 2017 in an intimate pastel-themed ceremony in Italy. They welcomed their first child, their daughter Vamika, in January 2021. When Vamika was born, the couple wanted to keep her face hidden from the public eye. “We have decided to not expose our child to social media before she understands it and makes her own choice,” Virat once said. Similarly, the couple have kept their reported pregnancy private as yet.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Anushka will soon be seen in Chakda’Xpress, the biography of former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
