The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a clarification regarding the viral post that depicted a Class 9 textbook discussing dating and relationships. CBSE took to its official X (Formally Twitter) account to mention that it does not publish books.
In the clarification, the board mentioned, "A section of media is wrongly attributing a book to be a publication of CBSE containing objectionable material on dating and relationships according to the reports. This is totally baseless and incorrect."
Recently, a post went viral on X showing the Class 9 chapter on dating and relationships. The textbook pictures attracted reactions from many users. The material covers topics like crushes and "special" friendships through relatable stories and examples.
Pictures from the book were shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @nashpatee, showcasing the contemporary approach of the Class 9 textbooks.
Many users on the app expressed their positive surprise at the introduction of these chapters, praising CBSE for addressing crucial aspects of modern relationships. The post even got a reply from the popular dating app Tinder India.
Nevertheless, the Central Board of Secondary Education has issued their clarification on the viral post.
